Resin Flooring over Underfloor Heating: Planning the Finish

The cover image is illustrative, not a documented Puur project.

A resin finish over a heated floor needs agreement between the heating designer, base supplier and flooring installer. Product compatibility should be confirmed before materials are ordered.

Document the build-up

Identify the insulation, heating system, screed or boards, preparation and finish. Do not assume a coating can be applied directly over pipes or mats.

Confirm testing and readiness

Ask which commissioning records and moisture tests are required for the actual products. Test methods and acceptance limits should be specified together, not borrowed from a different system.

Agree application and restart

Use written requirements for site conditions, heating shutdown, curing and restart. There is no universal safe surface temperature or daily ramp applicable to every resin construction.

Keep the service roles clear

Puur can discuss suitable finishes and installation requirements. Heating design and installation responsibilities must be allocated separately. Puur PSR is cementitious rather than resin and needs its own agreed specification.

Discuss your project with Puur

Send plans, photographs of the existing base, intended use and any heating details. We can discuss the finish, samples and the information needed before agreeing a specification.
