Resin Floor Installation: The Checks Before Application
The cover image is illustrative, not a documented Puur project.
Professional installation begins before material is mixed. The installer needs to understand the existing base and choose a preparation and application method that matches the exact flooring system.
Identify the base and moisture requirements
Confirm the substrate and the required moisture test method, units and acceptance limits. Different methods do not provide interchangeable readings, and a surface meter alone may not satisfy the specification.
Agree repairs and preparation
Assess cracks, contamination, previous coatings and surface condition. Repairs, moisture-control measures and mechanical preparation must be compatible with the selected system and the construction beneath it.
Apply to the actual product instructions
Mixing, coverage, layer sequence and site conditions are product-specific. Do not substitute a generic roller size, moisture percentage or cure time for the manufacturer’s written requirements.
Document return to use
Agree inspection, protection, foot traffic, equipment access and cleaning dates with the installer. A surface that feels dry is not necessarily ready for every load. Keep the handover records with the care instructions.
Discuss your project with Puur
Send plans, photographs of the existing base, intended use and any heating details. We can discuss the finish, samples and the information needed before agreeing a specification.
